Pick up the thread and spread ideas around.
Gone are the days when the deadheads said, "Please
Do we have no new posts or did my computer just freeze?"

C'mon boys and girls. Nothing but non-dead, links to CNN, birthdays, rehash of 2-19 and Rhino? Nothing to say? Nothing new and exciting?

The board may be peaceful, but, damn if it hasn't become boring.

No one even wants to GROK--guess that got old, too.

Maybe it's all been said and done. Maybe it's all over now.

Nothing at all? SDH? Tell? Arb? Rob? Ghost? Bryan? Dire? Rich? Max? Anyone? Please?

Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!

Germans?

Forget it, he's rolling.

And it ain't over now. 'Cause when the goin' gets tough...

the tough get goin'! Who's with me? Let's go!

What the fuck happened to the Delta I used to know? Where's the spirit? Where's the guts, huh? "Ooh, we're afraid to go with you Bluto, we might get in trouble." Well just kiss my ass from now on!

Anyway, I'm working on something. Please be patient. We now return to our regularly scheduled programming.

Apparently we'd all better get our asses in gear or else we'll be put on double secret probation.

Grateful Dead trivia: what show began with a screening of Animal House?

Closing of Winterland! First time I dosed at a show...this was before the days of videos, so it may have only been the 2nd time I saw it.

And then NRPS followed by The Blues Brothers, an act that elicited the response from Garcia, "Is it really blues?"

what is lacking? Let's see. Sharing shows and links. Check. Wishing a long standing and popular member a happy birthday. Check. Discussing Rhino. Check. Discussion on Betty Cantor-Jackson. Check. 1968. Check.

Could you be a bit more specific so we can fine tune this thing to your liking?

Well, when I look at just todays posts, I see many Dead-specific entries. Yes, we have a good deal of extraneous material bandied about here, but it always seems to return to the common root that binds us all. Forest for the trees my friend, forest for the trees.

PS. The Playin' from 8/21/72 is AMAZING, not overly long, but energetic and focused, with Keith doing some fine work. http://www.archive.org/details/gd72-08-21.sbd.hamilton.150.sbeok.shnf
